Our Mission & Purpose
At Youth Blade, our mission is to introduce the sport of fencing to youth in a fun, inclusive, and beginner-friendly environment. We are a student-led organization supported by York Fencing Centre, where all of our sessions take place. With the guidance of professional coaches, including World Cup champions, we're able to offer high-quality group lessons in a safe and welcoming space. Our purpose is to make fencing more accessible to children of all backgrounds and help them grow through sport. Fencing builds focus, discipline, confidence, and time management—skills that support success in and out of school. We hope to inspire the next generation by allowing kids to try something new, develop strong character, and discover a lifelong passion.
